OUR HAPPY BOY!! (a picture to make anyones day!)

So basic update: Will has a lot of numbers (blood values, etc.) that are still way off. SO he is still in the ICU for good reason: he is still very sick.  BUT despite that, we feel so blessed and happy that he has some kidney function.  His creatinine level is 2.4, but should be .4 which is actually a major difference.  But we are loving that he is much more consolable at this point.  He is becoming more alert, he loves to be cuddled ALL NIGHT (which is hard on the parents & Grandparents) but way worth it to give that sweet little guy "LOVES" all night!  So we feel like we have a long way to go, but we are feeling very optimistic!  And check out the smile below, it cant get much better than that. It just feels so much better not seeing all those tubes in him, so hooked up, and just completely drugged and incoherent. So we love the way he looks at this point. I don't know about you, but that MADE MY DAY!!!
Could he EVER look any cuter!!!
[The senior most surgeon in the surgical group said, he may have more infection problems, but we can deal with them with surgery...so let's just take it day-by-day." So, in other words, the biggest challenge has been overcome (thank you all for your unwavering support!!), and now we just have to see his numbers get better to know what will happen on terms of the infection. So, great news for kidneys, as we had all hoped, but we're not out of the woods quite yet. Why do I feel like a broken record?"] Danny

LOVE THIS PICTURE! Still looks a little drugged, but so much happier & alert!!!

  4. I just sat here and read all your entries and cried several times, including this one. You have a beautiful little boy and it hits close to home. I can only imagine what you are going through and I place myself in your shoes with my little boy(15 months). I looks wonderful here and I will be sending my prayers that he heals quickly and can get back to being as much of a little boy as he can.

  6. What a little LOVE! So precious. He is so blessed to have parents and grandparents that are willing and able to cuddle him all night. The comfort that must give him, to have the warmth of loved ones in the cold environment of a hospital.... invaluable!
