...well it looks like it will take
at least TWO more weeks to get Will home. This was disappointing to the family as they were really excited to get home and get ready for Carter to start school and in a semi-regular schedule.
With that being said he has a fungal infection which should be easily controlled by antibiotics.
The good news with this is that
Dr. Sydorak (the surgeon) just came by and said since Will has to stay, they are going to do a study and see if they can do the [intestinal] reattachment a week from Monday! So that is positive news. So maybe this was just the way it was meant to be, rather than getting home and having to come right back for an infection or another surgery. So this is good. Please PRAY that things can continue to go smoothly.
We just are excited to remember, that although Will is having a hard time being content at the hospital, that he has gone from THIS:
TO THIS!!!
So sad that he has to stay in the hospital, but I'm SO glad he's doing so much better! He looks wonderful!
