A Wagon Ride for Will

So I have been out of town all weekend (still am) but Dan just sent me an update and text message on how their weekend has been going. It was Claire's birthday and even Will got into the celebration!  The nurses let him take a wagon ride around the hospital and down to all the family in the waiting room.

Danny said; "Claire's bday is Monday but we celebrated it today at the Ronald McDonald house. It was simple but sweet and we were able to share our food and the piƱata with others. Then we all went up to the waiting room at Kaiser and that is when Will made a brief appearance in his wagon. Funny thing is that when we went in to get him, he was in the wagon already surrounded by female nurses. :) He's irresistibly sweet these days".

They are just trying to think positive thoughts after the nephrologist informed us that the protein levels in Will's urine is still quite high. That's not a good sign in terms of kidney function. Good news is that he will be transferred to the Inland Empire (Sarah's hospital, actually) on Monday.

Update from Sarah: William threw up most of what he ate/drank today, and just can't seem to hold any food down, but it shouldn't be indicative of anything seriously bad. Last night Pappa came out and stayed with him through the night. He's spent quality time with all of his grandparents during this time.  They may do some live scans to see what is happening in his GI tract.  This is probably one of the bigger concerns still at this time.

The good news is he is very aware and very willing to smile. He still is pretty clingy with Momma though, but who would blame the little guy after all that he has been through over the last month!

So CUTE on his wagon ride!

We all have been waiting for this doggie day, he LOVES dogs, and you can see how happy this made him!
