GOOD NEWS!

After going out for the first time yesterday (thanks for the boutique ladies, & thanks for letting me cry friends), I realized how many people out there are following this blog. AND how many people are praying for little Will. It is so wonderful to see family, friends, friends of friends, and just plain strangers who know about his situation and care for our little guy. We again and AGAIN thank you for the support and prayers, and we fill they are working...
...SO START gearing up for our PEE PARTY, because we just got 10 more CCs!! (That's two teaspoons by the way)
Danny posted on FB:
They just put a foley catheter back in (I can't watch them insert that by the way...) and got 17 more ccs of urine so far! So, despite the setback in terms of the infection that will require a procedure, we are beginning to see what looks like kidney function! So many conflicting emotions, but at least one of them is happiness for a change! :)
The procedure to attempt to drain the fluid in his abdomen is scheduled to take place within an hour or so. The plan for today is to keep him on the vent since the fluid makes it hard to breathe and hope for improved kidney function and diminished signs of infection. Thanks for continuing to support him!"
It looks like William will go back on the dialysis machine tomorrow. Two reasons: simply not enough urine output and they'll need to flush out the contrast fluids they'll be putting in him today when they perform the procedure (contrast fluids will help them guide the needle past his organs).-D.T
