Good News (Update from Sarah)

Good news: William is holding down all his food and eating a ton.

Bad news: He's got cabin fever.

I talked to the doctor about going home sooner rather than later.  She said he needs three negative blood cultures before they can put in another PICC line and send him home on IV antibiotics.  He has had one and they draw them every day, then it takes at least 24 hours for results.  She also said that her recommendation is to finish the two week course of anti fungals before doing the reanastomosis.  It is truly up to the surgeon and infectious disease to decide

  1. So glad he's making up for not eating well for weeks. Hope he's enjoying the taste too. Can't wait to hear when he does come to his HOME SWEET HOME! Soon....
