William is of course still a work in progress. He has rough days as he is still being weaned off his pain killers and other medications, and still having a tough time holding down food. But really it is great because this means they are trying to get him off all his pain killers NOW and this means:
after about 6 weeks in 4 hospitals, it looks like he will released from the hospital tomorrow. This still is only because Sarah (mommy) is an RN and can tend to IVs (TVP or IV nutrition) and other medical needs that can be done from home with many additional follow up visits. She also will be responsible for giving him shots for the clotting, and still dealing with his ostomy bag as well. But regardless, we all still feel this is a great blessing that he can be in his own home finally. The fact that he is alive and well is a true ANSWER TO ALL OUR PRAYERS!! And although he is still quite sick, he loves company. The hospital staff probably realized what a handful he REALLY IS once he got back to himself and have probably been thinking we cant keep him down, this guy is ready to go home. He lays in his crib facing his hospital door and sweetly smiles and waves to everybody who passes by in hopes that they'll see him and give him attention (which he almost always gets)!
So where just a few weeks ago we all felt we were VERY close to losing our sweet little Will, we NOW celebrate the return of my sweet nephew to his home and family!
